Monocontentio

The Monocontentio prototype is a twin-girder structure embedded in one of its margins, and supported on the opposite. The embedding is achieved through the arrangement of a small lateral auxiliary span, which converts the structure into a continuous beam with two spans, significantly reducing its bending stresses and vertical deformations. The law of moments under a uniformly distributed load is the form that generates the elevation of the bridge, a direct tracing of its structural work.
